Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Imagine, at exactly six in the morning, everything that you need to start your day comfortably is automatically managed. It turns on your heater to warm the house to your preference, it opens the shades in your bedroom and a soothing voice greets you good morning. As you get out of bed, the scores of the late football game you missed and the morning’s headline is read out to you with that same voice and also the present day’s weather forecast is included. You also noticed that as you walk toward the bathroom, the lights are automatically switched on. And, as you take a shower, your morning coffee in the kitchen is now being brewed automatically. It may sound like some kind of science fiction movie, but this technology is now widely available in the market for consumers.

How Honey Can Help You Stay Young

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Honey is a great antioxidant. Studies conducted on the beneficial properties of honey have established that it protects the skin from the harmful effects of UV rays. Honey also helps in the rejuvenation of the skin. Free radicals resulting from the metabolism in your body when oxidized are responsible, along with other things, for ageing. Being a natural and superb antioxidant, honey fights the free radicals and decelerates ageing. You can either consume honey or apply it topically to reap its many benefits.

Honey has a high sugar content, moderately high acidity and therefore low pH and low protein quantity. Add to these its antioxidant property and the presence of Hydrogen Peroxide in it, and you have a wonderful anti-bacterial and anti-microbial agent in honey.

Wholesale Closeouts

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

I never started out to become a wholesale power seller. As a matter of fact, when I was first beginning, wholesale closeouts were a sort of last minute resort as I tried to avoid getting into a fight with my wife. You see, I was underemployed and not paying many bills. She was making most of the money, but it wasn’t enough for both of us. She told me that I had to make some extra money that month or we would have a “serious discussion”. I was pretty desperate. I was having a hard time finding a job, so I decided to take a gamble. I bought wholesale bulk clothing online, laying out a few hundred dollars for thousands of dollars worth of clothes. I knew it would be risky, particularly because I did the whole thing behind my wife’s back. In the end, however, it paid off.

Always In Motion Is The Future

Monday, October 15th, 2007

It’s the summer of 1973, and a young film director goes searching for a studio to distribute his new screenplay. Many say no, until one finally agrees to take a chance on him. Twentieth Century Fox has such little faith anyone will actually pay to see the movie that it agrees to give him - in exchange for the usual directing fee - 40% of the box office, plus sequel, publishing and merchandising rights.

Fast forward to 1977: the feature opens in a limited run at 32 theatres. Surprisingly, people show up…and like what they see. In a few days, it expands to more than 200 screens, and lines start forming around the block. The sci-fi adventure eventually becomes the highest grossing movie in history.

Kentucky topped them all by toppling No. 1 LSU

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

Sport News: Andre Woodson and the Wildcats became the latest team to shake up the national title race this season, but the first team in nearly four year to take down the top-ranked team in the regular season, beating the Tigers 43-37 in triple overtime Saturday.

Woodson found Steve Johnson open in the end zone for a 7-yard score in the third extra period. The 2-point conversion, required after two overtimes, failed but it didn’t matter.

With a chance to win it, LSU couldn’t get a first down on four straight running plays. Charles Scott was stopped a yard short on fourth-and-2 and No. 17 Kentucky had it’s first victory over a No. 1 team since 1964, when it beat Mississippi.

Acne Scar Removal

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

Have you ever met a computer geek? I am not talking about the professionals that are hired on the geek squad to go out and help people with computer problems; I am talking about a geek that sits in a room filled with computer equipment and runs his life. My sister’s son fits into this category. In some ways his life is a bit sad and in others he is a bit scary. He was a normal healthy child who developed a bad case of acne when he was fourteen. He was so embarrassed and self conscious about the acne that he started communicating with others in chat rooms rather than facing them. Through this he spent a great deal of time on computers and found that he had great computer skills. He began making money off the internet by age eighteen and basically lived his life in his parent’s basement.

Cottages To Rent

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

I never really thought of my home town as a vacation destination when I was growing up. It was a beautiful place, and there was a nice lake nearby, but it did not seem like anything special to me. I guess that I sort of took it for granted, if you want to know the truth. A lot of people do not know what they have until they really take a good look around. In my case, this happened when I started to see signs for cottages to rent. They came up almost overnight! One day, the only people I ever saw around were townies, and practically the next day, there were all these tourists renting cottages and cabins.

Seeing all of these people getting cottage rentals got me thinking. I realized that I had never done any traveling, and that I probably should while I am still young. I am sort of a homebody for the most part. Usually, I am happy going to work, getting a drink or two at the pub after work, and going home to enjoy a good book or a movie. It does not take much to make me happy. Nonetheless, I have always wanted to travel – especially to Europe. I have some relatives in England who I have never met, and it seems like the perfect time to go visit them. If I can find cottages to rent, we can all get away for a bit and enjoy the famous English countryside together.

Ever since then, I have been researching English cottages to rent. I had not really been prepared for how much it costs to travel overseas. Still, I have been saving up money for a while, so it should not be too difficult to afford a week or two in the English countryside this summer. I have a friend who is a travel agent, and he has been helping me to find the very best deals. Apparently, if you know where to look, you can get some great travel deals online. Even some of these English cottages to rent are pretty affordable if you can get them when they are having a deal.

I actually think that I have found a cottage to rent that is perfect for my needs. I am not sure yet, but it is looking better and better. Although it is out of town a little bit, you can still take the bus into London. This means that I can visit the countryside, but have some time in the city as well! I can’t wait to go!

Portfolio Management

Monday, October 1st, 2007

Investing can be complicated business, that is why so many have someone else do it for them. This means that you have to pay them a fee, but if you don’t know anything about money, stocks, investments, and all of that fun stuff, you are going to make more if you have someone knowledgeable handling your portfolio management for you. The hard part might be finding someone you can trust, and someone who will listen to what you have to say.

Postpartum Anxiety

Monday, October 1st, 2007

During pregnancy a woman’s body goes through many changes. Hormones are raging and then suddenly, the baby’s born. During the postpartum period following the birth of the baby, 4-6% of women find themselves experiencing what is commonly known as postpartum depression (Baby Blues), postpartum anxiety and/or panic disorder. These disorders can occur separately, or in conjunction with one another due to changes in hormone and neurotransmitter levels during pregnancy. Women who have a past history of panic attacks are more likely to develop a postpartum disorder, as well as those with a family history of anxiety and or panic disorders. Another common cause is a great amount of stress; it’s normal for new mothers to worry about their new baby (or babies!) and the additional responsibilities, but women who are affected by postpartum anxiety and/or panic disorder experience excessive worries and fears about the child, and their own actions as well.

Wood Doll House

Monday, October 1st, 2007

I have bought my daughter quite a few different doll houses, and she has lost interest in every single one of them rather quickly. I guess they were not big enough, or they were not special enough, I’m not really sure. I think that if she decides that she would like to have a new one, I want to get her something very special. I want to get her a very large wood doll house to see if that would be something she would prefer to have.
